Nothing beats a weekend of pure fun in Nashville, where live music echoes endlessly, rooftop bars beckon, and the vibrant energy never fades. Yet, this excitement often comes with a hefty price tag. If you’re craving a budget-friendly Nashville getaway without sacrificing the fun, look no further. Here are some savvy tips to save money while still enjoying every moment

1. Take a Lyft ride compared to an Uber. When we visited Nashville in April 2024 a Lyft from the airport was $USD24 compared to a $USD45 Uber.

2. Go to some of the big smoke houses, we visited Martin’s Bar-B-Que joint and got a sharing platter for one that fed 3 of us, with us all feeling uncomfortably but happily full when we left.

3. I shopped around a lot trying to find good accommodation, using all the tips and tricks I knew and couldn’t believe the expense. What amazed me was how much cheaper Sonder apartments were, they were also fantastic, clean and comfortable, we easily fit 6 with two of us on a sofa bed. It is also very easy to check in. You don’t need to stay in downtown Nashville, it is easy to travel around and will save you fortune staying just outside downtown.

4. Don’t spend all your time on Broadway, as fun as it is! Venture to 12th and South neighbourhood. Spend a day wondering the shops and quirky cafes, and looking up the murals, they are all on google maps and are free and beautiful to see.

5. There is so much free live music to choose from, hop from bar to bar until you find the right one, do not pay for entry, there is no need. Remember to also look on each level of the bars as they usually all have different bands.
