Peru: A Two-Week Exploration
Day 1: Arrival in Lima Begin your journey in Lima, Peru’s capital city. Arrive at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Spend the day relaxing or exploring the nearby neighborhoods, such as Miraflores or Barranco, known for their beautiful parks, coastal views, and vibrant culinary scenes.
Day 2-3: Paracas Travel south from Lima to Paracas (approximately 4 hours by bus or private transfer). Explore the Paracas National Reserve, known for its stunning coastal desert landscapes and abundant wildlife. Take a boat tour to the Ballestas Islands to see sea lions, penguins, and seabirds.
Day 4-5: Huacachina Continue your journey to Huacachina, a desert oasis near Ica (about 1 hour from Paracas). Experience thrilling activities like dune buggying and sandboarding on the massive sand dunes surrounding Huacachina. Relax by the lagoon and enjoy the unique desert scenery.


Day 6-7: Arequipa Fly from Ica to Arequipa. Explore Arequipa’s colonial architecture, including the Santa Catalina Monastery and the historic Plaza de Armas. Taste local dishes like rocoto relleno and explore the city’s lively markets.

Day 8-9: Colca Canyon Embark on a two-day excursion to Colca Canyon (approximately 4 hours by road from Arequipa). Marvel at the breathtaking views of one of the world’s deepest canyons, spot Andean condors soaring overhead at Cruz del Condor, and visit traditional villages.

Day 10-11: Puno and Lake Titicaca Travel from Arequipa to Puno (about 6 hours by bus). Explore Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Visit the floating Uros Islands and Taquile Island to learn about the indigenous cultures and enjoy the serene beauty of the lake.

Day 12-13: Cusco Take a scenic bus or train ride from Puno to Cusco (approximately 8-10 hours). Explore Cusco’s Inca and colonial heritage, including Sacsayhuamán, Qorikancha, and San Pedro Market. Acclimate to the altitude and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of this historic city. If you have an additional day go and visit rainbow mountain, its a long hike but beautiful destination.
Day 14: Machu Picchu Board an early morning train from Cusco to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. Take a bus up to the ancient Inca citadel and explore its terraces, temples, and viewpoints. Optionally, hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain for spectacular views. Return to Cusco in the evening.


Day 15: Departure from Lima Fly back to Lima from Cusco. Spend your final day in Lima exploring any missed sights or indulging in last-minute shopping and dining experiences. Depart from Lima International Airport for your onward journey.
Transportation: Use a combination of buses, domestic flights, and train journeys to travel between destinations. In each city, rely on taxis, walking, or organized tours to explore local attractions.
